Welcome to Equilibre

As the founder of Equilibre, I’m pleased to introduce my practice and offer information and resources that can enhance your health.

Equilibre helps restore and maintain good health by rebalancing the body’s natural systems that support energy, clarity, flexibility and overall well-being.  If you are living a life that is restricted by unresolved trauma, pain, discomfort or immobility due to illness, injury, or surgery, or simply the stress of everyday life, Equilibre can help free you from these limitations to live more fully.

My practice is based on an understanding that pain, stress and illness are really expressions of health. I recognize these conditions as signs of imbalance and use Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy and a variety of integrated methods to help people regain physical equilibrium, trauma resolution and a sense of harmony.

Equilibre activates the mind-body connection at different levels of the anatomy and physiology, from microscopic cells all the way up to major muscles and connective tissue.  My approach is gentle and relaxing and adapted for each person.  At the end of a session or class, I frequently hear people describe how they feel as, “pain-free," "balanced,"calm,” "centered," "focused," "present," “refreshed,”  and “energized.”

You can experience Equilibre through both individual consultation, which includes a guarantee, and small group classes that are ongoing in Atlanta or can be customized for your group.

Who does Equilibre help?

By working as a family, kids no longer misdiagnosed,  and authentic, loving couple connection and respectful parent-child relationship is restored

Equilibre has proven to be very beneficial for professional athletes who need to "get back in the game" and want to avoid surgery.   Additionally, people with chronic illness, including arthritis, MS and autoimmune disorders, insomnia, migraine headaches, sinusitis, TMJ, PTSD, and other stress-related problems have also benefited from Equilibre.  Another area of specialization for Equilibre is working with teachers and children whose ADD and ADHD symptoms are interfering with their performance in school.

The testimonials included on this site are a great way to find out about the breadth and effectiveness of Equilibre.

The origins of Equilibre

After 15 years of working with integrated forms of health therapy and witnessing the remarkable results of clients and class participants, I founded Equilibre to define and formalize the systems I had developed.

Though my approach is unique, it builds on the work of wise and acclaimed mentors in the United States, Canada and Europe whose successes have been inspirational and instructive.  I have earned certification in all three of the primary disciplines Equilibre draws upon:

  • Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. As a practitioner of this specialized branch of Craniosacral therapy, I can help you draw on the healing life force that was present when your body was formed and continues to sustain you in every phase of your life. Through deep relaxation, this gentle therapy creates freer pathways for unrestricted flow of life-enriching fluids from the brain through the spinal column all the way to the extremities of your fingers and toes.
  • Therapeutic "Workout"– I lead individuals and groups through a series of exercises that are derived from a method developed in Canada and Europe called Anti-Gymnastique  The exercises don’t require traditional equipment of a gym workout.  Instead we use micro-movements while bringing our awareness to the natural rhythms of the breath.  This process trains the brain to restore calm and balance throughout the body.
  • Shiatsu – Using this traditional Japanese acupressure therapy, I work directly with the muscle and nervous system to stimulate rebalancing from outside in.  It is especially effective in combination with the Equilibre methods for natural deep breathing and whole-body awareness.

The role of Equilibre in supporting your health

I refer to my role as a health facilitator because I can help you tap into healing processes that come from within.  I adapt the work for each individual to ensure that it is consistent with your beliefs and day-to-day routines.

My work complements exercise programs like strength training, yoga and Pilates and the relationships you have with physicians and other health practitioners.  In fact, many of my clients are health professionals.  And many of my clients have been referred by health professionals.

How I Work

I only work with individuals who are 100% committed to achieving results and are ready to be full participants in our work together.  The way I determine commitment is by first of all doing an introductory session with a prospective client to help us both determine if we are a compatible team.

Next, if we both decide to proceed, we both sign a contract stating our individual and joint commitments. Click here to read the text of the contract. One of the key commitments I make is to refund 100% of the client investment if the client’s results do not exceed their expectations.

The  client’s part of the contract includes active participation in our work together.  Additionally, and importantly, the client demonstrates his or her commitment to the work by paying the first month’s fee  of $2,000.00,  up front.

This fee, though reasonable, is a significant investment for most people.  An individual would have to be committed to their health, and committed to working with me to make this level of investment.  Many people do not proceed because they consider this upfront investment more than they are willing to make.

However, because my work is time intensive, this approach allows me to focus my time only on those clients ready to invest fully in our work together.

By using this approach, I am able to provide the time and attention to those clients who choose to fully engage in this work together.
