Biodynamic CranioSacral Approach
How does the CranioSacral System work?
The craniosacral system is a physiological system similar to the cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
It operates as one inseparable, interconnected unit.
The core of craniosacral system is composed of the brain, the spinal cord, the sacrum and the Cerebro-Spinal Fluids (CSF).
The cranium and the sacrum are connected via the spine, the spinal membrane and the CSF.
The sacrum moves synchronously with the cranial bones via fluctuations in the CSF.
The CSF is continuously produced in the third ventricle of the brain and fluctuates following numerous distinctive patterns, that are sensed through the practitioner’s hands.
Restrictions in the CSF create health problems.
What is the essence of the Biodynamic Approach to Craniosacral Balancing?
The human system is a unit of function; it is an integrated whole.
It is only our minds that fragment that whole.
This truth can be perceived both within our immediate experience of suffering and within the experience of the underlying Health which centers that suffering.
Within the cranial concept, it is seen that Health is never lost.
Health is a principle; it is not dependent on particular mind-body states.
Even in the most desperate health situations, this inherent principle is never lost.
This Health has been with us from the moment of conception and will be with us until the day we die.
It never becomes diseased.
It is a function of the life force within us.
In the Biodynamic Craniosacral Approach, through highly trained and skilled hands, we are in direct contact to the expression of this inherent Health within our client's body.
In the work, we do not "do" the healing. Instead we listen to and support the healing's unfoldment.
